HHN 2019: House of 1,000 Corpses and Rob Zombie: Hellbilly Deluxe

Good old Rob Zombie! For those who don’t know who he is, he is a heavy metal singer (the lead singer of the band White Zombie) and filmmaker known for his music and cult films. While everyone loves The Devil’s Rejects, the upcoming film, 3 From Hell, his songs, and today’s topic, House of 1,000 Corpses, horror film fans would come after him with torches and pitchforks for his remakes of the Halloween films (where almost everyone looked like him [with the long hair and beards], all the characters were unlikable, and Michael Myers talked).

Anyways, you may be asking “what is the plot of House of 1,000 Corpse?”, well, it’s your typical slasher plot: four dumb young adults that are trying to write a book on roadside attractions meet a clown named Captain Spaulding and they end up dying one by one while trying to figure out the legend of Dr. Satan. Seems basic enough, doesn’t it?

And thus, it’s going to be a haunted house, which sounds like fun, I guess. Personally, I don’t really care about Rob Zombie’s works, but if you’re into that sort of thing, good for you.

We’re also getting a scare zone called Rob Zombie: Hellbilly Deluxe, which is based off of his music and located in the San Francisco area. There’s already lighting rigs and a few set pieces there currently, so go check it out!

What’s your favorite Rob Zombie song or film?
